Charlotte Delane Wilson (55), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, left this world on July 16, 2025, in Macon, Georgia. Born on June 5, 1970, in McRae, Georgia, Charlotte was a beacon of love and compassion who touched the lives of everyone she met.
Charlotte was the daughter of Gwen and Harry Sheffield, who preceded her in death.
On September 14, 1987, Charlotte married the love of her life, Jerry Wilson Sr., and together they built a beautiful family over the past 37 years. Their union was a testament to love and devotion, and they shared countless joyful memories as partners in life. Charlotte is survived by her four sons: Jerry Wilson Jr., Jeremy Wilson Sr. (Shenandoah), Charles Wilson (Tiffini), and William Wilson (Lacy), each of whom she loved deeply and supported unconditionally.
Charlotte’s legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Xander, JB, RaeLynn, Waylon, Lillian, DaLaney, and Elias. She was a doting grandmother, finding joy in every moment spent with them. Whether it was cheering them on at sports events, sharing stories at family gatherings, or simply enjoying a day at the beach, Charlotte made every moment special.
In addition to her immediate family, Charlotte is survived by her sister, Shiela Mitchell, and several nephews and nieces, including Jordan Kimbrough and Amber Youngblood.
Charlotte was a dedicated nurse for 32 years and was an active member of the New Elim Baptist Church. She was an avid fan of Nascar, Alabama football, Yankees baseball, and Chiefs football, ready to speak her opinion about opposing teams.
The celebration of life will be held on July 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM for visitation, followed by services at 2:00 PM at New Elim Baptist Church.
