Glenda Coleen Austin

Glenda Coleen Austin, 62, passed away on October 15, 2026, at her residence in Twiggs County, Georgia, surrounded by her loving family.

Glenda was the oldest of four children and retired after a career as a cosmetologist in Bibb County. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and her devoted husband of 30 years, David Austin. She also loved tending to her plants and caring for her animals, which brought her much happiness throughout her life.

Glenda was preceded in death by her mother, Glanda Vickery.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, David Austin; her sons, Brandon (Tricia) Vickery, Brian (Brandy) Hopson, and Jeremy Hopson; her father, Willis Vickery Sr.; and her brothers, Willis (Angela) Vickery Sr., James (Ginger) Vickery, and Paul Vickery.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Destiny (Brooke) Vickery, Taylor (Amber) Vickery, Gracie Vickery, Nataleigh Vickery, Haley (Matt) Spillers, Heather Pender, Dillan Pender, and Jamie (Garrett) Davis; her great-granddaughter, Abby Pender; and numerous nieces and nephews.
