Greg Evans, 66, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025.
Greg spent his career in education serving, uplifting, and impacting the lives of his students and colleagues. He brought joy wherever he went — whether he was dancing, singing, or just lighting up a room with his sense of humor and story telling. Greg loved the Lord and wanted others to know the peace and hope found in God’s unconditional love for each of us.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Abbie Donald Evans. He is survived by his wife, Ashley Evans; his children, Erin Elyse Evans Trent, Joshua David Evans, and Jeremy Daniel Evans; his stepchildren, Anna Kate Turner and Bradyn Lee Turner; his mother, Barbara Ann Davis Evans; and his brother, Donald Jeffery Evans.
We will gather to celebrate Greg’s life on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Rock Springs Fellowship Hall on Bass Road in Macon. This will be a time of reflection, fellowship, and remembrance. The family would be honored if those who knew Greg would feel moved to share a memory, story, or a few words about how he impacted their lives. Whether funny, heartfelt, or somewhere in between, your stories will help us remember the full, beautiful life he lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable contributions in memory of Greg Evans be made to Brain Support Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families affected by neurological conditions Contributions can be made online at www.brainsupportnetwork.org.
Greg’s absence leaves a space that can’t be filled, but his love, faith, and influence will continue to ripple through the lives of all who knew him.
