In Loving Memory of Henry Lamb III
Henry passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, surrounded by love and family.
He was born in Ashburn, Georgia to the parentage of Henry Lamb, Sr., Velma Wilson-Goodman, and Johnny Goodman. From his roots in South Georgia, Henry carried with him a deep appreciation for family, home, and the simple joys of life.
Henry was an over-the-road truck driver who truly enjoyed the freedom the open road afforded him. He took pride in seeing the beauty of the United States and experiencing its vast landscapes and natural wonders. Yet no matter how far the road carried him, his greatest joy was always returning home — especially to his beloved wife, Levette, whom he affectionately called “Momma.”
An avid fisherman, Henry found peace near the water, rod in hand, enjoying the quiet moments that brought him contentment. He loved sitting with family, sharing stories, laughing, and reminiscing about the good old days — moments that will now live on as treasured memories.
Henry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and family man whose love, guidance, and presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
He leaves behind his loving wife; eight children:
Marquevius Lamb, Deaundria Morrow, Sierra Lamb, Nadia Harris, Nakia Lanee, Davion Lamb, Areyana Lamb, and Gabrielle Lamb;
20+ grandchildren; extended family; and a host of relatives and friends who will continue to cherish his memory.
He is also survived by his siblings:
Veronica Wilson, Johnny Goodman Jr. (Deshiraka), Jonathan Goodman, Angela Westbrook (Reshun), Henry Lamb Jr. (Maria), Edna McCoy, Joseph Lamb (Abeba), Xavier Brown, Rachel Lamb, Latasha Lamb, Rodney Pastely, and Retessa Poke.
His in-laws include:
Mother-in-law Sandra Miller; Grandmother-in-law Bessie Miller;
Sisters-in-law Quindara Miller, Greta Richardson, Tamicia Richardson, Diamond Lawson (Qualls), and Jessica Green;
Brothers-in-law Antonio Miller, Tony Newberry, David “Peewee” Anderson Jr., Joshua Qualls, Samuel Richardson Jr., and Kenneth Stevens.
