Henry passed away peacefully on December 16th, 2025, surrounded by love and family.
He was born in Ashburn, Georgia to the parentage of Henry Lamb, Sr., Velma Wilson-Goodman and Johnny Goodman. From his roots in South Georgia, Henry carried with him a deep appreciation for family, home, and the simple joys of life. Henry was an over-the-road truck driver who truly enjoyed the freedom the open road afforded him. He took pride in seeing the beauty of the United States and experiencing its’ vast landscapes and natural wonders. Yet, no matter how far the road took him, his greatest joy was always returning home to his family—and especially to his beloved wife, Levette, whom he affectionately called “Momma.”
An avid fisherman, Henry found peace near the water, rod in hand, enjoying the quiet moments that brought him contentment. He also loved sitting with family, sharing stories, laughing, and reminiscing about the good old days—moments that will now live on as treasured memories.
Henry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and family man whose love and presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
He leaves behind his loving wife, eight children, 20+ grandchildren, extended family, and a host of relatives and friends who will continue to cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM December 27th (Saturday) in the Gipson Center located at 650 Bridges Rd.
