Linda Gayle Wood

The beautiful soul of Linda Gayle Wood, 64, passed away on October 6, 2022, unexpectedly.

Linda was a long-term server at the Waffle House for 30 plus years. She was the mother to three daughters, that she raised and loved with her whole heart: Jennifer (Mike) Nowell, Brandi Sapp, and Christi Mimbs and her only son, Skyler Stokes, who saved her like she saved him. The love for her grandkids was like no other.  They are Mackenzie Sapp, Tyler Sapp, Brian (Haleigh) Barlow, Blake (Kaitlyn) Barlow, Leland Johnson, and Logan Sapp.  There are seven great grandkids: Jaxson, Mason, Aspen, Karmon, Brantley, Ryver, and Serenity.

She was Preceded in death by her dad, David Wood Sr., and mother Pearl Wood; her brothers, Ronnie and David Wood Jr., her sisters, Cathy Wood, Geraldine Christian, and Marsha Sauls. She is survived by her brother, Larry (Kathy) Wood Sr; sisters, Mary (Bruce)O’Neal, Joyce (James) Drawhorn, and Betty Perdue.  There are several nieces and nephews that loved her as a Mother and a Nana.
