Minor Franklin "Frank" Meadows

Minor Franklin “Frank” Meadows, 77, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at home with his loving wife by his side. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2026, in the Chapel of Open Bible Church in Lizella, with Leighton Cooley officiating. Visitation will be held immediately prior to the service and will be from 1:00 - 2:00 pm.

Frank was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Spencer and Evelyn Dollar Meadows. At 17, he and his high school sweetheart skipped school to elope to South Carolina, where it was legal to be married without the permission of their parents, and began their life together. A loving Dad and PawPaw, he was a man of few words, but was always available to lend a helping hand or an obscure tool to a fellow bluegrass festival attendee. Frank retired from Graphic Packaging in Macon and was a talented craftsman who had a rare gift for understanding how things worked and the patience to fix what others deemed broken.

Frank was the middle brother of Wendell Lovett, and Vivian Givens, of Macon and Gary Meadows, of Lizella.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Donna; his three children, Wesley (Lisa) Meadows of Lizella, Amanda Meadows Rocafort of Macon, and Christy Meadows (Katie Davidson) of Knoxville; his siblings, Wendell (Hamp) Lovett, Vivian Givens, and Gary (Vickie) Meadows; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother-in-law, Royce Givens.
