Nora Cecile Cox, age 73, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026. She was born on July 29, 1952, to Cecil and Alice Jones.
Nora was a graduate of Miller High School in Macon and also attended Crandell College in Macon. She worked for many years as a dispatcher at Frito Lay in Macon.
She was a devoted mother to Steve Lamar Williams (Kristy) of Ellijay, Georgia, and Debra Kent (Miller) of Macon, Georgia. Nora was a loving “Nanny” to her grandchildren Sarah Armstrong (Will), Michael Mangino (Brandi), Stevie Williams (Ethen), and Parker Blue Williams, and to her great-grandchildren Maddie Mangino, William Armstrong, Nora Armstrong, Boatwright Peterson, and Rebel Peterson.
Nora had a deep passion for music and animals. Her love for cooking and arts and crafts brought joy to all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Wayne Jones. She has one surviving sister, Jadie Cox (Bobby) of Macon, Georgia. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory forever.
