Patrick Lee Bradley, of Warner Robins, Georgia, devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
At the time of his death, Patrick was employed by Motion Industries in Macon, Georgia. Prior to that, he worked at Silverline Windows in Villa Rica, Georgia, and at Geiger Furniture Manufacturing in Atlanta, and during the 1980s, was employed by a communications company in New York City for two years.
He attended Southside Baptist Church of Warner Robins, where he greatly enjoyed the music and the leadership of Pastor Jerry Walls.
He graduated from Paul G Blazer High School in Ashland, Kentucky, in 1978, where he played football.
As a young man in Ashland, Patrick liked to ride dirt bikes and play guitar. He and some friends formed a couple of bands that performed locally and in which he played lead guitar.
As an adult, Patrick was an earnest student of the game of pool and enjoyed meeting up regularly with family members to shoot a round or two. He was also a comic book enthusiast and had a particular affinity for the Batman character.
He routinely took his son, as a child, on bicycle outings touring their hometown at the time, Villa Rica, Georgia. Other favorite father-son distractions were time spent throwing the baseball and honing their Frisbee skills. In doing so, they developed a lively Frisbee game known only to the two of them.
Patrick worked in cinema as an extra, and can be seen briefly in The Vampire Diaries, the movie Vacation (2015 version), MTV’s Finding Carter, The Red Road (a SundanceTV series with Jason Momoa), Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots, and several other popular movies and TV series that were shot locally in Georgia.
Patrick enjoyed both rock and country music and was known to attend concerts in both genres. He was an avid fisherman and got the itch to get out and put a hook in the water every spring when the weather began to warm.
He was an enthusiastic and committed Georgia Bulldogs fan and could be found in front of the television on any and every game day, wearing one of his many UGA-themed shirts and taking in all the pre-game, game, and post-game discussion.
Patrick was a fairly recent devotee of Ballroom Dance and showed great promise as a talented dancer. He had taken lessons in Waltz, Swing, Rumba, Cha Cha, Foxtrot, and Tango.
He was a Trivia buff and enjoyed playing the game with a team, first as a founding member of Team Tush Bringing Up the Rear, and then later with a new team called Drifters.
Patrick was born in Ashland, Kentucky. He was predeceased by his parents, Freddie Bradley of Ashland and Helen Humphries Bradley of Marksville, Louisiana, as well as by his beloved wife, Cynthia Lynn Norman , with whom he shared many cherished years.
He is survived by his first wife, Teresa Darlene Whitaker, and by their son , Matthew Troy Bradley and their daughter-in-law Mary Kathryn Godshall Bradley, both of whom brought him great pride and joy. In addition, he is survived by his beloved companion of the last five years, Natalie Janet Greene.
Patrick is also survived by and shared a close bond with his brother, Jerry Lee Bradley, and sister-in-law, Marion Vance. He is survived as well by one nephew, Austin Christopher Bradley, and two nieces, Amber Dawn Romano (Frank), Sierra Nicole Vance, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Patrick was a wonderful friend with a kind heart. He was an excellent father and a caring, dedicated family member, as well as a thoughtful and devoted sweetheart. Our immense loss is heaven’s gain.
A casual celebration of life will be held on December 27, 2024 , at 2:00PM at 407 Engram Street, Montezuma, Georgia. All who knew and loved Patrick are invited to share in this tribute of wonderful memories. Condolences may be mailed to 2581 County Road 101, Fort Payne, Alabama 35967.
