Adeline Montreuil, 89, of Macon, Ga, peacefully passed away on June 16, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones.
Marie-Therese Adeline Blanchard was born on April 7, 1932, to Fernande Blanchard in Port-au-Prince Haiti.
Adeline worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years in the city of New York. She earned her master’s degree in Nursing at the age of 50. She was passionate about her career and dedicated to her profession. Adeline loved gardening, baking, making her own custom holiday cards and was a devout Catholic. Adeline volunteered her services at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Rego Park, Queens for many years as a Eucharistic Minister and various other duties.
Adeline married Mario Montreuil on October 16, 1956 and had 2 children Francoise and Frederic. After retirement Adeline and Mario retired to Miami, Florida.
Adeline was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 63 years Mario, her granddaughter Nhadia Montreuil, her brothers Roger Brignolle, Yves Moraille and sister Maude Villejoint. She is survived by her children, Francoise Montreuil Brierre and Frederic Montreuil, her daughter in law Renay Bloom Montreuil, her grandchildren (Shayla Brierre, Krissy Brierre Davis (Josiah), Philippe Brierre, Frederic Khai Montreuil and Treh Montreuil (Reshonda), her great grandchildren (Sierra Tianyvu, Noah Davis, Myra Montreuil, Malcolm Montreuil and Frederic Khai Montreuil Jr.) and her sister Denise Moraille Brooks. She is also survived by countless number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Macon Ga. date to be determined.
