Bobby Leigh Mizelle

Bobby Leigh Mizelle, 85, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023.  He was born in Petersburg, VA, on May 13, 1938, to the late Adrian Cornelius Mizelle and Rolfe Bishop Mizelle.  Bobby retired in management with Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co.

He loved golf and was a tremendous and tenacious golfer.  Besides the game, he especially enjoyed the social interactions making many loving and lasting friendships throughout his golfing years.  He also loved sports of all kinds and traveling to casinos.Bobby had a heart that wanted to help others.  He had great perception and an uncanny ability to see the positive potential in anyone he met.  He was someone that once you met him, it was hard to forget him because of his quick wit, strong intelligence and warm demeanor.Family and friends were very important to Bobby.  He loved spending time with all of those in his “inner circle” and he loved reminiscing and telling stories that would have everyone laughing hysterically.  He cherished his family and friends and faithfully kept up even with friends from years gone by through social media.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Mildred Wilson Mizelle; three daughters, Deborah Katherine Smith (Dennis), Melissa Leigh Mizelle, Kirstin Valerie Powers (Ken); three grandchildren, Cierra Stokes Penn (Lawson), Dylan Laredo Stokes, Cheyenne Leigh Stokes; and two great-grandchildren, Porter Livingston Penn and Ellavina Stokes.
