Carolyn Tanner Obituary

Carolyn Luella Tanner of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2020 from injuries resulting from a fall at the age of 69. Carolyn in survived by her daughter Laura (Greg) in Longmont CO, her brother Terry Tanner in Phoenix, AZ and her sister Susan Cummings in Ft. Valley, GA, nephew KC Cummings (Jannet)in Ft. Valley, GA,  niece Suzanne Benham (Chad) in Dunedin, New Zealand, grandchildren Gage and Braeden Bailey in Longmont, CO, and great nephew Cullen Cummins in Macon GA.

Carolyn was an avid, lifelong Braves fan and loved heading to Atlanta to see them play. She attended baseball games at 17 major league parks across the US with her daughter Laura and attended an All-Star Game and Home Run Derby in Denver, Colorado in 1998. She enjoyed visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York for All Star Weekend where she met the likes of Dale Murphy and Ozzy Smith.

Carolyn graduated from Mercer University with a business degree. Early in her career Carolyn worked as a bookkeeper for Capricorn Records and assisted with royalties for the Allman Brothers.  Carolyn loved to read and enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel.

The family will not be holding a public service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in her memory.
