Corinne Isola Gibbert, our adored loved one, received her heavenly angel wings on October 16, 2020.
Corinne was born to Mary and Guisto Simi on September 9, 1926 in Sacramento, CA, where she lived until moving to Macon with her husband, Floyd, in 1996, to be near their son and family. Truly an angel on earth, she was adored by her only child, Vincent “Vince”, dgtr-in-law, Sarah, and her granddaughters that were the love of her life, Tiffany (Kyle) and Erica. She was thrilled to have lived long enough to know her two great-granddaughters, Kennedy Corinne (namesake) and Jade Eileen. Known simply to everyone as “Noni”, she so freely and sincerely shared her loving heart, her words of wisdom and guidance, not only to her family, extended family and friends, but also to everyone, even strangers, along the way. She loved animals, especially dogs and cats, but all little creatures that came to her house for food, water, and shelter received names and care from Noni.
Regretfully, due to COVID restrictions, only family, extended family, and close friends may attend her Memorial Service at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 133 Ward St., Macon, November 3, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. Corinne will be buried with her husband and family in Sacramento, CA at a later date. Online messages to the family can be sent to www.simplycremationmiddlegeorgia.com/listings.
