Michael R. Dixon, 62, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020.
Mr. Dixon worked for many years in air conditioning saving many people from the terrible heat of Georgia summers. He was an amazing handyman and knew how to fix just about everything he touched except for a computer. He was an enthusiastic traveler with his wife and toured all over the world by bus, boat, train, and plane with many tour groups keeping them entertained and on time. He loved to tell stories to make people laugh and could describe almost anything in a humorous manner.
Mike loved his wife, daughters, nephews, and grandchildren. You could count on him to be on the front row with his video camera, cheering loudly in support of his children for every game day, meet, match, or event they participated in. He also loved southern cooking, sweet tea, playing punch bug with his nephews, watching King of the Hill, Star Wars, The Office, and listening to classical music. He also had a talent where he could play quite a few songs on the piano and organ just from having heard them. He couldn't stand slow scooter drivers, vegetables that weren't fried, and obnoxious people.
Our immediate family will be having a private service with Pastor Chet Cooper officiating. Mr. Dixon was born on February 08, 1958 in Macon, Ga to the late Russell and Loretta Dixon. Mr. Dixon is survived by his sister Lisa Dixon, his wife, Yupayao Eve Dixon, and his daughters, Gigi Mulhern and her husband Brian, Marie Spencer, and her husband Sean, Marianne Cooper and her husband Travis, and his nephews he helped raise, Bond and Burt Trachoo. As well as his 4 grandchildren. He was loved so much and will be missed greatly.
